Tami Simon speaks with Leigh Fortson about her book Embrace, Release, Heal, an empowering guide to talking about, thinking about, and treating cancer. Leigh spent decades practicing healthy
lifestyle habits, and was shocked to find out, in 2006, that she had cancer. Today she has a clean bill of health and lives in Colorado with her family. In this interview, Leigh speaks about “the morphic field” of cancer, the importance of accepting responsibility after a cancer diagnosis, and her view of “fighting cancer” in order to thrive. She holds a master’s degree in public health, a doctorate in family medicine, and has worked as a primary care physician. Ann Marie currently lives in Arizona, where she has a private integrative medicine practice, and also teaches at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Tami Simon speaks with William Buhlman, an expert in teaching people techniques so they can have an out-of-body experience. For the past six years, he has surveyed more than 16,000 participants in 32 countries about their out-of-body experiences. He is also a regular lecturer at the Monroe Institute. Lee has published dozens of books on topics ranging from t’ai chi to stress management.
